Jiri Erhart

Jiri Erhart obtained his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague in 1999 in the field of solid state physics. He is Head of the Department of Physics at the Technical University of Liberec, Czech Republic. His research interests include the electromechanical properties of crystals, ceramics and composites, ferroelectric domains and domain engineering, modeling and measurement of piezoelectric transformer and resonator properties. He is author or co-author of about 60 papers, 2 books, 1 book chapter, one EU and one national patents. He teaches courses on physics and properties of piezoelectric and ferroelectric materials. He was Chair of the PIEZO2007 conference.
